# How to create a discount on Spoonbill PMS.

Offering discounts is a great way to attract more bookings and build strong customer relationships. In Spoonbill PMS, you can set up flexible discounts tailored to different needs, from special promotions to long-term partnerships. This tutorial will guide you through the process step by step, ensuring your discounts apply correctly to reservations.

 

- Click on the **Price Markup **icon.

-     Click on **Discounts**.

-     You will be redirected to the list that displays the **Discounts** (if this is your first time creating a discount the list will be empty). You must click on **Add New**to continue.

-     After clicking on **Add New** you will come across a form in which you enter information about the discount such as: **Name**, **Type,** **Discount amount**, **Start Date**, **End date **etc. Fields marked with a red symbol are required and must be filled in, while all other fields are optional. To add a condition (not all discounts need a condition) you need to click on **Save & Continue**.

-     After clicking on **Save & Continue**a section in which you add the **Condition **will display. The condition will be based on what **Type **of discount you are creating. After adding the condition go ahead and click on **Update.**
